Giant Eagle launches Upside Pay at all stores

November 4, 2025 – WASHINGTON, D.C. — Giant Eagle, Inc. has expanded its partnership with Upside by launching Upside Pay across all of its stores. The secure mobile payment option gives shoppers instant cash back at the register — no receipt uploads required — while helping Giant Eagle strengthen customer loyalty and drive measurable sales growth.

A new feature of Upside Pay also allows customers to apply their cash back balance directly at the register, keeping those earnings within the Giant Eagle ecosystem. Customers still have flexibility: those who prefer to pay with a card and upload receipts in the Upside app can continue to do so.
